The re-opening of the Albert Stella Arena will have an effect on the 2015 Crowsnest Pass municipal budget. The arena was closed December 18 following a Facility Evaluation report. That report outlined a number of concerns with the building, including mould in the ice-plant room. CNP Home Services has been given a $61,845 contract to make repairs. This will only cure the porblem for the short-term, up to two years, but officials feel it will buy time to put a long-term plan into effect. The details of in the Evaluation Report will be posted to the municipality's web site.
