Grande Prairie RCMP ask for help to locate missing man

Grande Prairie RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in locating Scott GIBB, 30 years old who was last seen on August 22, 2013.

GIBB's had been working in the Grande Prairie area and is described as being Caucasian,  5'6" tall, weighing 130 lbs, brown hair and blue eyes. (see attached photos)

If you know where GIBB is, or have any information of his whereabouts please contact the Grande Prairie RCMP Detachment at (780) 830-5700.

24-year-old Lloydminster male arrested in relation to sexual assaults and luring of children

Lloydminster Municipal RCMP officers with the assistance of the "F" Division Integrated Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) and the Maidstone RCMP have charged 24-year-old Chad Blair CLARK of Lloydminster with four counts of Luring, two counts of Sexual Assault, two counts of Sexual Interference, two counts of Indecent Act and one count of Unlawful Confinement.

It is alleged that CLARK befriended his victims through a social media site and was able to lure them to a location. Search warrants were executed in order to obtain computers and other electronic devices in relations to this investigation. CLARK was arrested without incident and has been remanded to Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Lloydminster on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 10:00 am.

The investigation is ongoing and it is unknown at this time if there are other victims.

Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision Highway 27 west of Olds

On Wednesday, September 18, 2013 Olds Detachment was dispatched to a two vehicle Motor Vehicle Collision West of Olds on Highway 27 at the intersection with Range Road 23.  Local EMS, Fire Services, STARS air ambulance and an RCMP collision Re-constructionist from Red Deer also attended.

The investigation indicates a Jeep Grande Cherokee traveling South on Range Road 23 failed to stop at a stop sign and crossed into the path of a West bound Dodge Ram pick up.  The pick up struck the driver side of the Cherokee and both vehicles came to rest in the South West ditch of the intersection coming to a rest on their wheels.  Both vehicles were occupied by only the drivers who were wearing seatbelts.  Air bags in both vehicles also deployed.

The driver of the Cherokee was taken from the scene by STARS.  The driver, an area resident, did not survive her injuries.  Her name is not being released.  The driver of the pick up did not sustain any serious injuries.

Alcohol is not a contributing factor, weather conditions were favorable for driving and roads were dry at the time of the collision.  No charges are being considered at this time.


Grande Prairie RCMP investigating theft of unique sound stage pallets

Grande Prairie RCMP are investigating a theft from a lot located on 105th Street and 117 Avenue. Sometime between September 12 and 17, 2013 unknown person(s) went onto the lot and stole five sound stage pallets.

The pallets are unique aluminum pallets used to construct sound stages, they weigh approximately 100 lbs. each and have "Stageline" written on them.  Five pallets along with the required jack stands were stolen. (see photos below)





The approximate value of the pallets is $2,500.00.
