Pinch-o-Crow Creekers do well at National Whitewater Championships

Six athletes and their coaches from the Pinch-o-Crow Creekers Kayak Club attended the National Whitewater Championships held late August in Ontario, racing for medals and spots on the National Whitewater Team.

The team coached by Sam Wey and led by Chuck Lee included AJ Cole - 22, Veronica Oczkowski -19, Ryley Penner – 18, Cole Gerber – 16, Hannah Penner – 16 and Tyler Gerber – 14.

The team did very well at the races at the Madawaska Kanu Centre on the Madawaska River, qualifying 4 of the 6 athletes for next year’s Junior and U23 World Championships to be held in Brazil in April 2015.
