Southern Alberta’s incredibly scenic foothills and massive mountain ranges could be within sight of hundreds of athletes and thousands of spectators as Pincher Creek and the Crowsnest Pass would play host to several key venues should the Lethbridge 2019 Canada Winter Games Bid be successful.
Pincher Creek and the Crowsnest Pass will house more than 500 athletes, coaches and officials in Livingstone Range School Division #68 schools. Castle Mountain Resort will host alpine skiing, snowboarding and freestyle events, and the Crowsnest Pass / Allison Lake Provincial Recreation Area will be home to Cross-country Skiing and Biathlon. Thousands of spectators and families are expected to visit and cheer on their teams.
Representatives from the 2019 Canada Winter Games Bid Committee and community representatives will be available to speak to the public about what the massive event could mean to the region.

Our regional partners have been incredibly supportive, and we further want to show and tell what their commitment will mean to the people, businesses and organization in Pincher Creek and the Crowsnest Pass,” said Stephen Neis, the 2019 Canada Winter Games Bid Committee Chair. “We are also looking for people to pledge to volunteer in their community, and hope to meet lots of people and answer lots of questions in both communities.”
