Clearing ice jam in Blairmore

Very warm weather the past couple of days and a heavy overnight rain has loosened enough ice on Lyon's Creek to create a potentially serious ice jam at the Blairmore Main Street bridge - municipality of CNP crews are working today to avert a possible flood - no repeat of last year's expensive mess is likely as the CPR bridge is clear of jams - but two large pumps are diverting flow across Main Street to Lyon's Creek 25* meters or so downstream.
